Born 1977 in Biel / Bienne, Switzerland. Thilo Alex Brunner graduates in 2006 at the University of Applied Sciences of Northwest Switzerland as Industrial Designer (Dipl. Designer FH). He launches his first design studio - fuente Y fuente - under his AKA Thilo Fuente during the final year of his studies and starts to work as independent designer right away after graduation day with clients such as Swatch. Thilos ongoing questioning of design and all systems related to it pushes him to enroll for a Masters degree at ECAL,  which he gets in 2009. In summer 2010, the former study colleagues Thilo and Joerg decide to join forces and complement skills for future projects. Thilo runs beside Brunner Mettler still his personal «Thilo Alex Brunner» projects and is part of the teaching staff of ECAL.

Born in 1979 in Zurich, Switzerland. After his apprenticeship as a draughtsman Jörg Mettler studies Industrial Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Northwest Switzerland FHNW. Jörg graduates in 2006 and immediately takes up work at renowned «Studio Hannes Wettstein» in Zurich. After four happy years as employed creative, he can not resist his wish to go for the indpendent route anymore: Jörg quits Studio Hannes Wettstein in his function as senior designer and decides to join his fomer study friend Thilo Alex Brunner in his practice.
